LARGS Yacht Haven has had a busy start to the winter with the commencement of a major refurbishment programme on the marina.

One whole walkway has seen all the original finger berths removed and refitted with new Walcon fingers, steel piles repainted and graphics replaced. This forms phase one of a two phase plan which will see the fuel berth and hoist dock pontoons being removed and replaced in the New Year with new, higher flotation Walcon pontoons and a relocated sewage pump out system.

‘Each winter we embark on a major project to keep our facilities to the highest standard,’ commented marina director Carolyn Elder. ‘These quality pontoons replace some of our original finger berths and all our pontoons are pressure washed annually and redecked or replaced where required.’
