ALL AT Largs Yacht Haven are gearing up for the first major championship of 2018, the RYA National Youth Championships (31 March to 6 April) attracting upwards of 250 boats and 400 competitors to race in the Largs Channel and surrounding waters.

Run over the Easter week this promises to be a busy time at the yacht haven as the event will run alongside the boatyard which will be full time launching boats after the winter lay-up, writes LYH director Carolyn Elder.

The top British youth sailors will be competing for Youth Nationals glory whilst for others this will be a chance to showcase their skills in a new class or even race on the national scene for the first time.
